Job Description Pay Range:
$94,500 to $111,500 per year Purpose of Position:
To oversee all aspects of inventory, inventory control, and outside cold storage activity.
This will include high level planning of all finished good inventory to the correct internal distribution center or outside cold storage facility to ensure we have the right products, at the right weeks of stock, at the right time, to service our customers and meet our excellent customer fill rates.
This position will work closely with marketing, sales, and supply planning to understand the volume and weeks of inventory to meet our customers needs.
Work closely with Sourcing to maintain the right amount of blast and storage capacity both internally and externally to meet the company needs.
Oversee all Outside Cold Storage responsibilities include the receiving, shipping, and invoicing activity.
Conduct quarterly business reviews with all outside cold facilities.
Provide reporting and direction to plants to control our storage cost and maximize our capacity.
Provide feedback on any SKU's that we are over our targeted WOS or that we have aged inventory that needs to be sold.
This position and department will be a back up to running any track and trace activity and can place product into a hold or release status.
Essential Job Functions:
Ensure the company has the right amount of blast and storage space both internally and externally to meet our volume goals.
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Supply planning to understand forecasted and production volume, along with fallout product that will need to be blasted.
Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews with all Outside Cold Storage Locations.
Work closely with Sourcing on Outside Cold Storage contract to ensure they meet our needs.
Ensure department stays proficient regarding track and traces so when called upon can execute.
Manage and maintain a competent and professional staff so that all Department functions are completed in compliance with Company objectives.
Qualifications Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Ag business or related field - master's degree preferred.
Must have a demonstrated knowledge of production, scheduling, and inventory control.
Must have strong presentation skills to communicate our current position along with any recommendations to the senior leadership team.
Must have strong interpersonal and management skills.
Must have strong analytical abilities.
Must be able to design and update complex Excel Spreadsheets.
Must be able to effectively manage multiple issues simultaneously.
Will require some after hours or weekend work, usually on short notice when need arises.
